Islamic Center of Tucsonproviding free physical exams; chronic disease management for adults and children; hypertension, diabetes and obesity screenings; health awareness; urinalysis; pregnancy testing; pediatrics services; patient health education; BMI calculation; referral services for specialty clinics, labs, mammograms and radiology. Located at 901 E. 1st Street, the clinic is held the last Saturday of every month from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but clients are encouraged to register (520) 329-1428.
Mobile Health Program - a mobile health unit for the residents of low socio-economic neighborhoods in the vicinity of Summit View Elementary School, St. John’s Catholic Church & School, Tucson House, and El Rio Medical Center; now offering immunizations, common medications, retinal checks, telepodiatry screenings, acupuncture and much more. MSAPP (Medical Students at Planned Parenthood) - providing well-woman exams, contraceptive education or services, and pregnancy termination. Shubitz Family Clinic - under the supervision of a volunteer attending physician, medical students coordinate and provide culturally appropriate preventive and primary care, referrals and diagnostic tests to patients who have no other source of healthcare. Located in the Family & Community Medicine Bldg (behind UMC), 1450 N. Cherry, services are available by appointment only (520) 393-9336.
Sight Savers - free glaucoma screening clinic for underinsured and uninsured populations. The screenings are held every 3rd Saturday of the month, with locations varying throughout the year. Please contact the following clinics directly for dates and times: St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic, 140 W. Speedway; University Physicians Hospital at Kino Campus, 2800 E. Ajo Way, and UPH-Alvernon Clinic, 707 N. Alvernon Way.
Tot Shots - providing immunizations to children free of charge; the clinic is held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on the first three Thursdays of every month at the Community Food Bank of Tucson, 3003 S. Country Club Rd., #221. Please contact the CFB directly at (520)622-0525 for further information.
